Abstract:
ABSTRACT Problem handling and prevention issues in educational settings are becoming more important as well as in environments where individuals with special needs receive education. The aim of this research is to examine the opinions of special education teachers on the problem behaviours observed in the classroom. Qualitative research method was used in the research. Participants of the study included 15 special education teachers who work in an official special education school in North Cyprus. Research data were collected using semi-structured interview form. Results were obtained by analyzing the data obtained from the semi-structured interviews. Results were discussed and compared with the relevant literature. Finally, recommendations were provided regarding implementation and further research. Keywords: Problem behaviour, special education, teacher, qualitative research, opinion, North Cyprus.
