Abstract:
With the improvement of corporate stakeholders environment consciousness, the relativity between the corporate environmental information and the stakeholders decision is growing. Firms face more and more pressure on environmental information disclosure and environmental responsibility from stakeholders. Relativity between corporate environmental information disclosure level and pressure from different stakeholders through constructing multiple regression models is done. Content analysis method is employed to obtain environmental information disclosure index of sample companies and use multiple regression analysis to find the relativity between corporate environmental information disclosure level and the pressure from government, managers, creditors, consumers and investors. The result indicates that governments pressure is significant and negative associated with EDI. Managers pressure and investors pressure have positive correlation with corporate environmental information disclosure and creditors pressure and consumers pressure seem to have no correlation with corporate environmental information disclosure.
