Abstract: The article regards issues concerning the development of the oil and gas sector in the Islamic
Republic of Iran. Consequences of imposing international economic sanctions and embargo on
buying Iranian oil are analyzed. A forecast on further development of the oil and gas sector after the
removal of sanctions is analyzed.
