RECONSTRUCTION OF A JACOBI MATRIX BY GIVEN SIX OR SEVEN EIGENPAIRS AND GENERALIZATION FOR N EIGENPAIRS

Abstract:
In this paper, an algorithm for reconstruction of a Jacobi matrix is proposed by given some eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors. Then we discuss about solvability of this problem with six or seven eigenvalue, and some sufficient conditions for existence of the solution are proposed. Finally, a generalized method for this problem by given n eigenpairs is proposed. At the end a numerical algorithm and some examples are presented.
