Ponte - Nov 2019 - Volume 75 - Issue 11 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2019.11.16 Abstract: Voluntary Male Circumcision in South Africa & Africa is western-based practice. This is advocated for all South Africans, regardless of their colour or race. The objective of this circumcision is for the control and prevention of HIV/AIDS nationwide. Both the cultural and Western forms of circumcision are of a controversial nature in South Africa. The aim of this Investigation is to examine, the merits and demerits of such nature of the controversy.
