Ponte - Aug 2016 - Volume 72 - Issue 8 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2016.8.23 Abstract: Simultaneous observations and simulations of rainfall and ambient X-ray rates show that a radionuclide concentration in rainwater inversely depends on a rainfall rate. The effect is explained in terms of an inverse dependence of aerosol collection efficiency on raindrop size.
