ISLAMIC MANAGEMENT AND INDONESIAN CIVIL CODE: INSIGHTS FROM FWD INSURANCE POLICY PROTECTION Author(s): Mifedwil Jandra ,Dardiri Hasyim J. Ponte - Feb 2018 - Volume 74 - Issue 2 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2018.2.9 Abstract: Abstract The implementation of insurance taking place in the society has always been a matter of discussion. This refers to the economic activities to be seen from the point of view of fiqh muamalah (the laws that govern human relations especially in Islamic jurisprudence). This paper aims to discuss and analyze the Islamic management overview towards the insurance policy protection of FWD Sprint Link Plus, one of the well known insurance agencies in the world. This article takes as a guideline that an agreement should really have a clear purpose and objective so as not to harm each party. This research was conducted by using a normative juridical approach, with specification of descriptive analytical study. The results were analyzed qualitative-normatively. The findings reveal that Islamic management and the principles of the agreement in the Civil Code are not contradictory with the implementation of FWD Sprint Link Plus insurance policies protection, considering there are at least three points of view that can be used as a comparison; the basic of insurance premium, investment, and policy protection. \r\nKeywords: Islamic Management, Insurance Policy, Civil Code
