Abstract:
The article deals with the comparative analysis of physical health indicators of Nizhny Novgorod city schoolchildren and rural ones (Nizhny Novgorod region). The acquired results show that urban and rural schoolchildren differ significantly: modern rural schoolchildren have higher level of hand strength, heart rate fall, lower systolic pressure and higher diastolic pressure. Significant differences in total body indicators, mostly among boys, are revealed body length and mass, chest circumference. The remaining physiological differences between rural and urban schoolchildren are connected with the changes in natural and social factors of rural areas, the quality of which is becoming nearer to urban living facilities and influences the young generation in a proper way.
