Abstract:
Every act of design is based on its unique past and process. Implemented merely as an alternative way to understanding the process of interior design, “pattern” assumes a much more effective role in stating the overall impact of the analysis. For, the question ‘which consecutive steps can be followed to reveal the interior design process’ can be answered only through the mental steps the concept of pattern can offer, and the reimposition of each step through an update. In this context, Alexander's model of "pattern" is discussed, leading to a presentation of the mental steps followed through in the interior design process, with reference to the experiences of seasoned designers. The model drawn up specifically for the interior design discipline, on the other hand, provides a clear reading of the process and consecutive steps required to be implemented.
