The problem of achieving a balance between the environmental stability of natural areas and the economic expediency of development within its hunting tourism is discussed. The analysis of the state and main problems of development of this form of recreation in Dagestan is given. Possibilities of efficiency increase in activity of hunting farms on the basis of the workers involvement in the tourist business and the local population in the sphere of recreational activity, visiting hunters and birdwatchers are discussed. The need to take measures to strengthen the dialogue between all interested parties representing hunting organizations, specially protected natural areas (PAS), tourism agencies, national, regional and local authorities is emphasized.
