Ponte - Aug 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 8 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.8.53 Abstract: This study was investigated by the assessment of the actions of constructivist-oriented teaching design technology and waste material development of pre-school teacher candidates in a private university in TRNC. The research was conducted with 25 materials that were developed by 50 teacher candidates in 2015-2016. The factors that teacher candidates take into consideration in material development during the conducted course in relation to the assessment of constructivist-oriented teaching design technology and waste material development activities of pre-school teacher candidates will be the factors in the dimension of design and selection principles regarding individual differences, practicality, economic dimension, and compliance with content. A descriptive research techniques-based case study and a holistic single case design were used among the qualitative research methods in the research. At the end of the study, results were obtained from the themes that are based on waste material development activity of the dimension of design and selection principles regarding individual differences, practicality, economic dimension, compliance with content.
