CAUSES, CONSEQUENCES AND METHODS OF OVERCOMING THE STRESS OF STUDENTS AT THE MODERN INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of the causes, consequences and methods of prevention and elimination of educational stress of students in higher education institutions, including international universities. The role of studying this issue for higher educational institutions has been established, the importance of creating a system for management of educational stress in modern universities is emphasized. During the series of author\'s interviews with students, the main �stressors� were clarified, among which are more significant: conflicts in the group, large training overloads, inability to combine work and personal life, ineffective communication with teachers, unhealthy competition in the group. For foreign students, the main stressors are: problems of acclimatization, habituation to the conditions of living in a hostel, the need for communication in a foreign language, getting used to another way of life, attitudes towards oneself in others. The article suggests a number of stress management methods for students, among them: use of a variety of stress management tools (physical exercises, psychological support, etc.), friendly communications between teachers and students, introduction of �stress management� disciplines into training plans, strengthening of the position of psychological support services in universities, etc. In addition, the authors proposed four models of psychological support for students in modern institutions of higher professional education.
