For the countries that are not yet ready, its construction often does not give a positive ending but often bring out the negative things, because of resistance from the community. The goal of this research is to analyze of social movements in Indonesia.The research of method using qualitative approach and data analyzed by study case. The result of study find out what issues that emerged social movement, and social movements in Gunem Rembang was categorized the urban social movement. The conclusion is social movement in Tegaldowo Gunem Rembang Central Java have been interpreted of the urban social movement in Indonesia\r\n \r\nKeywords : cement mining conflict, social movements, rural social movement, new social movement, urban social movement
