Abstract:
In the process of reading and writing there also the process of thought that absorbs information through senses. However, not all individuals have sensory perfection. People with vision problems are known as disabled people with vision. They are not like the savvy saints. The acceptance of knowledge is limited by senses. In addition, they have the advantage of a strong sense of sensitivity and hearing as compared to those who have the perfect senses of perfection. Hence, this study is conducted to examine more closely the history of the existence of touch-based writing and the development of Braille in Malaysia. This qualitative study uses content analysis as a research design. The data collected from the literature were analyzed to get the results of the study. The result proved that limitations of sight do not prevent disabled people from thinking like other individuals because the person who creates Braille writing system; Louis Braille for his own visual impairment has created Braille in his blind condition that it is able to fill the Braille writing point and be able to read by the blind perfectly. \\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nKeywords: History, Touch-based System, Development, Braille, Writing System
