Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to investigate features of modern construction organisations development, formed in recent decades under influence of globalisation processes in Russian construction industry. The specific objectives are to: determine the characteristics of modern construction organisations and study their relationship with labour indicators; assess the effectiveness of incentive compensation practices and workers\' value orientation; analyse the implementation of innovation; study the employers\' reason to recruit the foreign workers; and find out the level of organisations\' labour potential. The research provides empirical insights about weaknesses in the labour potential of management system, which are limiting factors in the optimising efficient running of modern construction organisations. It suggests that executives should recognise the need to implement of knowledge management, development of creative abilities of employees, and stimulation of enhancement of education level.
