Abstract:
At the global level, the economic crisis of 2008 caused \\\"a 2% decline in GDP per capita in 2009\\\" (Claessens, 2013), and \\\"in 2013 there were 31.8 million more unemployed than in 2007\\\". (International Labor Organization, 2014) While the evidence suggests \\\"accelerated decline in total mortality and in the mortality for different groups, ages and causes during the recession\\\", this is not true for suicide, which is emphasized during economic recessions. (Granados, 2005).
