RUSSIAN FAIRY TALE ARCHETYPES AND PECULIARITIES OF THEIR MANIFESTATION IN THE PROSE OF CHEKHOV, BUNIN, KUPRIN, GORKY Author(s): Elena M. Luludova J. Ponte - Aug 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 8 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.8.23 Abstract: The purpose of this article was to analyze the prose works of ?. Chekhov, I. Bunin, ?. Kuprin, ?. Gorkiy, to find archetypes in them, which originate from Russian fairy folk tales and to consider variants of their interpretation in the above-mentioned authors� works.
As a result of research it has been found that it is characteristic of these authors to use the archetypes, which have come from Russian fairy folk tales. Fairy archetypes, which this way or other appear in images of the literary characters make it possible not only to preserve the national zest but also to widen the boundaries of the momentary, routine.
