The article deals with the issue of ICT application in the public administration system, especially in the public service. First of all, there is an appeal to world practice in this area. The system of public service of the advanced countries of the world considers the general situation of ICT use.The article consistently analyzes the work done in the field of ICT use in the public service in Azerbaijan. In this aspect, the study involves the steps taken in the field of legislation, the adopted government programs, strategies, and institutional measures. The article emphasizes that the use of ICT ensures the transparency, efficiency and efficiency of the activities of state bodies and public servants. In particular, all this becomes a reality with the introduction of e-government.
