Ponte - Nov 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 11 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.11.44 Abstract: This research is aimed at acquiring the portrayal of acceptance (preference), understanding, and pronunciation difficulties of nine nationality character song lyrics taught in elementary school. This research was conducted through a survey method by administering questionnaires to eighteen students in an elementary school. It was found that the lyrics composed were relatively preferred (accepted), easy, and not difficult to pronounce. This research implied the dissemination of song development to schools as a part of the nationality character learning.
