Ponte - Nov 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 11 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.11.14 Abstract: Abstract: Competence-oriented teaching in modern Russian higher school is aimed at training the bachelor with the ability to think creatively and find non-standard solutions, the ability to choose a career path, the willingness to learn throughout life. In this regard, the formation of cognitive component of professional competence of pedagogical education bachelors becomes important. The authors of this article recognize the cognitive component as one of the leading structural elements of professional competence of pedagogical education bachelors, which is responsible for the ability to produce professionally significant knowledge, to update it in professional pedagogical activity.\r\nThe training task is considered as a means capable of forming the investigated component. The design of the training task aimed at the formation of cognitive component of professional competence of pedagogical education bachelors in this study will be carried out in the framework of educational technology Web Quest.
