Abstract:
Guidance and counselling are discussed in this paper with learners in mind. Learners are part of the family and therefore some of their problems may require family counselling. This part of the Paper is addressed to prospective teachers and practising teachers who are counsellors in the school system. On the assumption that it will contribute to a stable marriage, if they are already married, or contribute to their preparation for such a marriage. Besides, many teachers play the role of counsellors in the community; as a result of their status and the respect accorded them. It is imperative therefore that such information be made available for this purpose
