Questions of professional qualities formation of the bachelors person studying “Construction building” by using professionally focused tasks in educational process while studying the "Maths" discipline are considered. Authors marked out a set of the personal qualities formed within the “Maths” discipline: professional motivation, a comprehension of interrelation of mathematics with disciplines of a professional cycle, set of abilities to use the mathematical knowledge while solving the problems adequate to main types of professional activity of the graduate. One of the tools promoting development of the marked-out qualities is professionally focused mathematical tasks. Characteristic interpretation of the concept "professionally focused mathematical task" is presented, requirements to tasks are formulated, its classification is carried out, criteria of checking of level of formation of professional qualities of the person by a solution of professionally focused mathematical problems of various degree of complexity are offered in the article.
