Ponte - Oct 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 10 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.10.4 Abstract: Today, due to increased terrorist attacks around the world and the possibility of bombing near the buildings and old-religious sites, the reconstruction of buildings against the explosion charges has been given special attention. The sanctuary of Imam Reza's shrine is important for many aspects. Apart from the historical origin of the building, which is a common factor between historical structures, its religious values and its continuous use make it more distinct from other historical buildings. In this article, The Effect of explosion distance on the destruction rate of adobe dome buildings - case study Imam Reza Shrineis paid. It was found that if 10 kg of TNT were exploded in the middle of the dome and on the ground, there would be no serious damage to the dome, and the tension strength would be less than the materialstrength, but if it was around the walls, it would destroy the wall and thus the dome. The explosion simulation with the Autodyn software and simulation of the shrine dome was done with Abaqus software.
