As an English teacher, knowing how to apply motivational strategies in the classroom is the most powerful tool for teaching English. The aim of this study is to find out if there is any difference of the usage of Motivational Strategies among the Government and Private School Teachers. English Language Teachers teaching for both government and private schools in North Cyprus consist of the population of this research. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was employed for the purpose of data entry manipulation, and analysis. A simple random sampling method is selected. A total of 96 secondary school English Teachers were interviewed. When the findings of this study are reviewed, it is observed that governmental teachers are not sufficient enough in using the motivational strategies in creating the basic motivational dimension. Also, it seems that private school teachers are more positive than government school teachers in generating initial motivation dimension.
