Abstract:
Design process involving architects, engineers and contractors and clients has become so complex that it needs some organized models to become integrated and use all the factors in building life cycle. This modelling contains reinforcement and interaction of all fields and the management of information exchange comprehending planning to destruction phase. Here, using the shared knowledge of decision-making in the process becomes necessary. The old mechanisms based on CAD cannot be effective as it is necessary to regard the product through different approached, yet integrated. To achieve these conditions, focusing on the interaction of all expert groups such as plants and structures, BIM considers time, quality and costs and guarantees the productitvity. This research investigates the construction industry with AEC components in building life cycle and expresses the classification of requirements focusing the use of this method in design.
