Ponte - Jul 2017 - Volume 73 - Issue 7 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.7.23 Abstract: This paper summarizes the experience of training students majoring in "Electrical equipment of aircraft and aerospace technology". The aim of this study is to establish a relationship between the competence approach and the use of computer technology in educating specialists in the aerospace industry. In addition, issues of individual and group training of students, stages of research formation and professional competencies of the future specialists are discussed in this scientific paper. Data collection and analysis, systematic approach, as well as a survey of faculty and graduates of this specialty are used as research methods. The paper offers recommendations on how to develop the professional competencies in specialists of the aerospace industry. It is shown that the use of interdisciplinary connections in combination with computer technologies allows students to fully reveal the potential of future specialists with the necessary competencies.
