Abstract:
Currently there is a growing number of people who are supporting socio-sports inclusion to improve the living conditions and well-being of people with visual disabilities. We have developed an intervention program based on long-distance races as a motivating factor for people with visual disabilities. Thirty-six subjects with limited vision participated in this study. This study was conducted through the application of a questionnaire known as the scale of basic psychological needs (Echelle des besoins psychologiques satisfaccion), also known as the satisfaction scale in sports. The result shows that the psychological and physical aspects of people with limited vision, after the intervention program, increase the factors of self-esteem, social autonomy and levels of perceived physical competence related to sports activity. Our research is preliminary, and we believe that the result obtained is the basis for future research work.
