Abstract:
The article presents a methodology for assessing the impact of major international organizations on the export of domestic agricultural products developed by the authors, taking into account the current situation in the world market and the economic sanctions regime. The expediency of developing the methodology is due to the instability of the Russian economy and its dependence on the price of natural hydrocarbons, as well as due to the introduction and prolongation of food sanctions imposed by the USA, EU and some other countries and response measures undertaken by the Russian Federation in the form of restrictions of food imports to the Russian market. Certain methods of research were used in the process of developing the methodology. Among them there are the following: systematic, complementary, situational, graphic methods, the method of deduction and induction, the method of analysis and synthesis, peer review and forecasting, empirical observation, and PEST analysis. The methodology for assessing the impact of major international organizations on the export of domestic agricultural products developed by the authors consists of four parts: analysis of external environmental factors, identification of perspective directions of export, prioritization of marketing activity, and export promotion strategy formulation. The article discusses the necessity of formulating the general information system for domestic producers that includes provision of consultations on overseas market research, search for potential partners and support of export projects especially when getting access to international Internet platforms. The key directions of export support have been identified in the article. Among them there are the following: setting up export cooperatives, subsidizing transportation, creating and promoting Russian food brands "Made in Russia" with the protected geographical indication. The article states that an efficient export promotion strategy should include measures for activation of state support of the agro-industrial complex adapted to the requirements and conditions of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
