Abstract:
Nowadays, the main problems associated with bad habits in different age groups are due to physical inactivity and poor diet, affecting directly people�s health, Chileans are no exception. University students have been subjects of study, because of a number of physiological, sociological and cultural changes, which are typical of youth. In Chile, public polices have been implemented at a university level, understanding the role and implications of future professionals in the development and creation of healthy habits in a country. This research has a descriptive, transversal �correlational, non-experimental design, which aims to determine and correlate the values of physical activity level and body awareness, in freshmen of three undergraduate academic programs at the health school of the Catholic university of Chile. By the implementation of two Self-administered surveys: a) body shape questionnaire (BSQ), (B) IPAQ questionnaire, which measures physical activity.
