METHOD OF LIMITED DEFORMATIONS FOR THE CALCULATION OF PARAMETERS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES SECTIONS

Abstract:
The article is devoted to problem of selection of the parameters for sections of concrete elements: beams, columns, carcasses. The calculation methodology is based on strain limitations in specified areas of the most intense sections of composite systems. The introduction of appropriate restrictions allows to determine, basing on conditions of the balance of power in a given section, one of the basic geometrical parameters of this section: height, width, cross-section of the working reinforcement or the maximum possible load. We are introducing the algorithm of solving the problem of selection of cross-sections of statically indeterminate system. This approach is proposed to be called the method of limited deformation (MLD). The method is illustrated by several examples. The method can be a reliable tool for the designing the reinforced concrete structures. As well as that, this method can solve the problem of selection of composite slabs sections.
