Gender Differences among High School Students in Formal Operations Combinatorial Reasoning in Kenya Author(s): Tuntufye Selemani Mwamwenda J. Ponte - Jul 2016 - Volume 72 - Issue 7 doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2016.7.20 Abstract: The focus of this investigation was gender differences in formal operations combinatorial reasoning among secondary school students in Nairobi, Kenya. The sample comprised 146 boys and girls selected from two secondary schools in the City of Nairobi, Kenya, who were administered a questionnaire on combinatorial reasoning. The result showed that there was no statistically significant gender difference in their performance of formal operational combinatorial reasoning. This paves the way for further research, to determine whether indeed, there is gender difference in formal operations combinatorial reasoning as previously and variously reported.
