Abstract:
Ultrasonic velocity of sound (U), Density (p) and viscosity (n) values have been estimated for the mixture of Ethylene glycol &1-alkanols throughout entire composition range at distinctive temperatures (303.15, 308.15, 313.15, 318.15 and 323.15) K. With the help of this data , Excess isentropic compressibility (KsE), Excess free length (LfE), Excess molar volume (VE) , Excess enthalpy (HE) and Excess Gibb’s free energy (G*E) have been accounted. The same parameters are also calculated using various theories and compared with experimental values. The strength of the hydrogen bond interaction in the binary mixtures is analyzed in terms energy which is calculated from the HF and DFT methods.
