Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of twelve-week rapid strength training program on wrestlers' dynamic balance, leg strength, relative strength, speed and body composition. A total of forty two male wrestlers, aged between eighteen and twenty five, who were actively engaged in wrestling and had achieved national honors, voluntarily participated in our study, twenty-one of whom were in the experimental group and twenty-one of whom were in the control group. Experiment and control group wrestlers measurements at twelve-week weeks study pre- and post-training received. In the analyzing of obtained data were used the SPSS program (T-test) to state the differences between the experimental and control group wrestlers and a value of p<0.05 was considered significant. While there was found significant differences between body weight, dynamic balance, relative power, dynamic leg strength, power peak and body fat measurement values in the experimental group wrestlers, depending on the training program (p<0.05), power average, 10m and 20m speed measurements were not found meaningful differences (p>0.05). While there was found a meaningful differences between body weight, relative power, dynamic leg strength, power peak, power average, 10m speed and body fat measurement values in the control group wrestlers, depending on the training program (p<0.05), dynamic balance, 20m speed and suprailiac measurement values were not found meaningful differences (p>0.05). As a consequence, it was observed that the physical, physiological and anthropometric characteristics of the experimental group wrestlers improved depending on the training program.
